The Sutton Farm has a long heritage here in Lowell, Indiana. Our farm was established in 1862 and has been our home for six generations. We are proud to supply “Farm to Table” freezer beef, and also premium breeding stock. We specialize in Wagyu, and Belted Galloway cattle to provide the highest quality possible. All of our animals are sustainably raised on our Certified Organic, open pastures with no growth hormones or antibiotics. We also fully embrace the practice of regenerative farming, and use no commercial fertilizers or chemicals. 

Our mission statement is simple:  "Care for the land and the animals, and produce FOOD for all of God's children."  It breaks my heart to see what has happened to most small family farms over the past 50 years.  There used to be a time when all farmers raised animals, and produced FOOD.  Now most farmers just produce a commodity that is part of the chain.  Although that has proven to be extremely efficient, the soil, animals, and human health has had to pay the price.  I'm just a simple Indiana farmer, but when I see fields that have been sprayed multiple times a year for over thirty years now, it doesn't seem like a stretch to the imagination that those chemicals may have damaged the soil, and found their way into our food.  I believe our earthly bodies came from the soil and will return to the soil.  They were designed to thrive on nutrients from the soil and the micro-biome that enable that transfer.  The soil was simply not designed for continuous chemical applications and tillage every year.  This is why we believe organic regenerative farming needs to be embraced, and why its used here on the Sutton Farm.  Organic Regenerative Farming causes two important things to happen.  One- It eliminates the possibility of synthetic chemicals making their way into your FOOD.  Two- It enables the micro-biome to break down organic matter and minerals in the soil so that nutrients can make it into your FOOD.  So...  Its not only about what's not in your food, but also about what's in it!
